How we like to get sheets
When submitting sheets just keep these guidelines in mind.
These are not etched in stone and we will not blow off submissions that
do not exactly meet our guidelines.
They are here for the most part to
keep us from have several 5+MB files in our email box at once.
Also space on our servers is a finite resource.
Scanned Sheets
Greyscale (However if color is necessary, feel free to submit it that way)
JPEG Format is preferred. (GIF does not allow for adequate
anti-aliasing - that means you get the 'jaggies' [jagged edges])
75 DPI is preferred (300 DPI is great - It is also frigging HUGE)
8.5 x 11 inch page format is also preferred (for 8.5 x 11 sheets). The
print dimensions should be the same as the original sheet.
If your sheet you wish to submit does not meet these guidelines and you
don't know how to submit it, just email
me.
I will be happy to tell you how to best submit your sheet.
Frequently Asked Questions
What about other formats?
Hey. I will take what I
get. As you see PDF has become a VERY popular format. I even have an HTML
format sheet on the site.
Originally created this site thinking I
would just use jpgs. Now I have more PDF files than anything else.
I designed a sheet for my game. Will you put it up?
Sure!
We hope to have MANY player designed sheets. Many times the player
designed sheets are much more usable than the 'official' sheets. For
examples of this, see my own creations in the Amber &
Star Wars (D6) sections.
What will I get if I submit a sheet?
Money! Fame!
Glory! Babes and/or Studs! These are the things you will not get for
submitting a sheet here. However we WILL give you full credit as the
sheets creator and/or submitter. We will also put your e-mail and web
address up with the sheet if you would like (not required).
Do you ever modify the sheets?
Sometimes I have to
modify the sheets. These modification are purely technical in nature, and
just to reduce the file size and improve readability. We NEVER
alter the actual functionality or graphic appearance of the sheet. For
instance, if you have a typo on your sheet, we will not fix it without
your express permission to do so. If you want ABSOLUTLY NO modifications
on your sheet, just tell us, however if your sheet is too big of a file,
we may have no choice but to pass on it.
I have a sheet that works great but looks so-so. Will you take
it?
Yes! I used to play in a D&D campaign called 'Folly'.
We had a character sheet that we LOVED (I am going to
scan and post it here). It was created on an old IBM Selectric
typewriter and was, shall we say, NOT stunning in its appearence, but it
WORKED GREAT. So beautiful graphics do not a character sheet make!
I have some sheets for _____________! Will you take them?
(GM Record Sheets, Ship Status, other non-character related
sheets)
Yup! The sheets do not need to be purely character
sheets. Record sheets of any type are acceptable, In the section for Misc
Sheets I have even placed a couple of ancient Yahtzee and
Clue record sheets. So even sheets for board games are
cool. I will soon have sheets for Avalon Hill's Starship
Troopers board game as well as Ogre from Steve
Jackson Games.
What if the game is out of print?
If people still
play it, I will post it. I do not care if a game is out of print!
